Israel-Hamas reach another key agreement.
A key agreement has been reached between Israel and Hamas, where Hamas will hand over Israeli nationals' bodies, and Tel Aviv will release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. The second phase of ceasefire talks between both parties is progressing, with mediators from Egypt and Qatar playing a role in facilitating the agreement. While the first-phase agreement saw partial prisoner exchanges, some setbacks have been resolved in the latest talks, paving the way for the next phase of prisoner releases.

Hamas: Another key agreement reached between Israel and Hamas. Hamas has agreed to hand over the bodies of Israeli nationals in their custody, while Tel Aviv has agreed to release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, officials from both sides said. As a result, the ceasefire agreement is expected to remain intact for a few more days. Israel has accused Hamas of treating their prisoners harshly during their release.
In this context, it was announced that the release of more than 600 Palestinian prisoners, which was supposed to happen as part of the agreement, has been indefinitely delayed. Hamas rejected this delay. Furthermore, the militant group expressed concerns over the second phase of the ceasefire talks. To resolve this, mediators (Egypt and Qatar) have made efforts to solidify the ceasefire. As part of this, officials from the delegation held talks in Egypt on Tuesday. During these discussions, the group agreed to hand over the bodies of four more prisoners. Hamas stated in an announcement that Tel Aviv has also agreed to release Palestinian prisoners.
It is known that a first-phase ceasefire agreement was reached recently between Israel and Hamas. As part of this, Hamas had to release 33 out of 94 prisoners in their custody. In return, Israel was to release over 1,700 Palestinians from their jails. This first-phase agreement was nearly concluded with only the prisoner exchange left, but some setbacks had arisen in the ceasefire. In the latest discussions, these setbacks were resolved, and an agreement was made for the next phase of prisoner release.
